§0.1 What this document is

This document is a formal specification of the interpretive method used by Āroha Omnis Corp and its platform implementation, the Ārk Engine. It states the rules by which primary Vedic texts and their commentarial tradition are addressed, resolved, verified, and published.

Every substantive statement made on this platform is accountable to the rules laid out in this volume. The method is declared in advance so that any reader, researcher, or adversarial critic may verify whether a given conclusion follows from the lineage's canons or represents an unwarranted departure.

§0.2 What this document is not

This document is not a work of popular apologetics, not an introduction to Hinduism, not an eclectic syncretism, and not a personal theological essay. It does not attempt to make ancient texts palatable by pruning their metaphysical commitments to fit contemporary secular fashions, nor does it manufacture pseudo-scientific claims.

§0.3 Four reading tracks

Readers approach this methodology from different backgrounds. We define four structured entry paths:

Track 1Traditional Scholar (Pandita / Vidvān)
Read §2 (Pramāṇa), §6 (Samanvaya), §7 (Parama-mukhya-vṛtti), and Part III (Case Files) first to examine our fidelity to the Mādhva and Gauḍīya hermeneutic lineages.
Track 2Academic / Indologist
Read §0.4 (Confidence Grades), §1 (Two Kinds of Text), §10 (Conflict Resolution), and Appendix D (Open Register) first.
Track 3Software Engineer / Architect
Read §5 (Layer Model), §17 (The Protocol), §19 (URN & Ārk Addressing Scheme), and Appendix E (Build Specification).
Track 4General Reader
Begin with §0, read §3 (Āroha & Avaroha), §11–§16 (Extension & Culture), and CF-03 before engaging the technical sūtra analysis.

§0.4 Confidence grades and the honesty rule

A method that produces only confident outputs is not a method; it is a mood. Every substantive claim on this platform is graded, and the grade is permanently visible:

  • Grade A — Primary text verified in critical printed edition; reading supported by named lineage commentator.
  • Grade B — Primary text verified; reading is constructed per Part II rules, not directly attested in a single commentary.
  • Grade C — Text widely circulated in oral/popular tradition but unlocated in printed edition. Quarantined to Appendix D.
  • Grade D — Attribution doubtful, source untraced, or variant reading. Never load-bearing.

§0.5 Conventions

Transliteration: International Alphabet of Sanskrit Transliteration (IAST) throughout, with original Devanāgarī provided for all primary root passages.

Translations: All English renderings are direct, literal, and original to this platform, deliberately preserving the exact grammatical joints on which philosophical interpretation turns.
